Helix, the headphones that become a speaker... in a twist

This gadget intrigued me, because it revisits a timeless classic in a minimalist and elegant way. I like it.

You can play music aloud with friends, or just discreetly in your ears - all you need is a pair of multifunctional headphones that change function with a simple twist. Like these Helixes, again a concept (developed by designer Junho Moon): I alone think it's amazing not to find such stuff in stores already?

A cap that dances the twist

Helix, simply put, is able to transform from a pair of headphones to an elegantly shaped speaker. The key to the “transformation” is a simple, delicate rotation of the bow. Very cute, it changes the shape of the device to make it almost a small sculpture when not worn.

A way to keep headphones "on display" on a desk, but also to quickly share something you're listening to with friends. The minimal and attractive design also includes the presence of an external controller (with a little effort you can imagine a later version in the form of a display) which allows "stand alone" use of Helix. When placed on a shelf in speaker mode, from the outside you can touch the external part of one of the "speakers" to view the tracks of a song and control the performance, or adjust the volumes.

This is how I would like to imagine a future contrary to the dystopian one. Full of simple and efficient objects that perfectly combine only three things: Style, essence, technology.
