In times of widespread closures, we are dreaming more and more of a way that can satisfy our desire for adventure and the outdoors. Land, water, air, the medium doesn't matter, as long as you put your nose out.
The creation of an amphibious vehicle that can move with ease on land, and even immerse itself in water has long been the focus of many designers and engineers. The latest in chronological order, by the Slovak designer Andrej Zachar, it's very beautiful. He called it Audi X Travel Companion evidently inspired by the German house of the four wheels. And it must be said: the concept of this futuristic design amphibious vehicle satisfies both aesthetics and imagination.
Audi X Travel companion, the contemporary amphibian
A four-wheeled amphibious vehicle that draws inspiration from current heavy off-road monsters (the strange to me Tesla Cybertruck electric) and the ambitious lunar rovers. In fact, a mix of all that is good on four wheels, in a compact format and adventurous enough to make sense. The Audi X travel Companion can easily climb any mountain, drive in thick snow and sink into sand on dry land, thanks to its unique mechanism that lifts obstacles when the wheel makes contact with the surface. The interior of the amphibious vehicle can be configured in a two- or three-seater trim depending on the number of passengers.
The amphibious vehicle to the test of water
When it's time to enter the water, the amphibious vehicle transforms into a submarine for underwater adventures while the capsule envelops passengers for a 360-degree view of underwater life. The Audi X Travel Companion can even float on water like a boat since the previously mentioned wheel design gives it the necessary thrust to move in any desired direction.
The cabin is ideal for an outing in the fresh air, or a long weekend outing in the mountains. The fact that it can move quickly over any terrain and in any weather condition makes this amphibious vehicle the ideal choice for wanderers who need a compact vehicle.
