#Geizeer it's the brilliant invention that can make us feel cooler without making the house ugly. This is a portable cooler invented by two undergraduates in architecture, Ferdinando Petrella and Damiano Iannini. "It's a #cube made of wood with a side of 14 cm – explains Ferdinando – divided into two halves: above there is a fan, below a rechargeable battery with a USB cable, and a plastic cone with a liquid inside which can remain cold for a very long time”.
Its operation is simple: the cone must be kept in the freezer and when you want to use Geizeer you insert it into the cube. So the fan starts, distributing cold air in a radius of two meters for four hours (the battery life).
And it's better than a #cooling fan, because it is also a beautiful design object that should not be hidden after the summer and which, perhaps, can be used to diffuse aromas. The idea was born thanks to crowfunding, to grassroots fundraising: “We presented a video of the prototype on two sites. In two months almost 3.500 orders have arrived: until December we will do nothing but assemble the cubes".
