China is absolutely in the running to change its transport in the direction of unanimous unmanned vehicles: for this reason it is building special highways for this type of car.
The new route, about 100 kilometers long, includes two completely dedicated lanes: the goal is to give autonomous vehicles a space adjacent to those driven by humans but with equal conditions, to better experience their yield and performance.
The new highway will be built between the urban areas of Beijing and Xiongan, a strategic industrial area in Hebei province: it will be completed by 2020 and promises to halve the current travel time.
The "Chinese way" to the introduction of autonomous vehicles could be the most effective: after all, it is also the most radical and the most expensive, providing for the creation of ad hoc roads and infrastructures from scratch.
What if they were right?
