In the beginning was the Segway: an individual system designed to radically transform the approach that passengers have with their means of transport. It was the beginning of a change that has not yet fully shown all its opportunities.
A new step in the direction of an individual, clean and light means of transport is represented by Solowheel, a 'monowheel' to be driven standing, equipped with gyroscopes and stabilizers able to keep the passenger in perfect balance.
It seems to be the most intelligent solution, the right compromise between the real need and the ease of use: imagine a vehicle that weighs only 10Kg (fits in a backpack), with an autonomy of 20Km (perfect for those who live in historic centers and works not far from home, or for those who have to face mixed road-underground routes every day).
The 'top' speed is 20 kilometers per hour, more than enough to move comfortably, and its 1000 Watt electric motor guarantees sufficient autonomy (collecting energy from braking and descents, therefore with the possibility of extending the radius of action) charging in just 45 minutes.
Strengths - Instead of looking for a 'total' solution and frankly impossible to find (an individual vehicle cannot have everything: absolute comfort, wide range of action, low weight, low impact on the atmosphere, economy), Inventist, the manufacturer of Solowheel, has preferred to develop a 'cut' product on a figure-type of user.
It is an easy to use and learn vehicle, to brake just put one foot on the ground, so to speak. As with skateboarding.
Solowheel will be available starting from April, at the indicative price of 1200 €.
