This approach may one day make it possible for a male couple to father a child that is biologically theirs.

It begins with the removal of the nucleus from a skin cell, which is then transferred to a donated egg that has had its nucleus removed. Subsequently, the research team eliminates half of the chromosomes present in the nucleus, thus allowing the fertilization of the egg by a sperm cell. This technique, although experimental, has shown promising progress and could open up new possibilities for same-sex couples wishing to have children.
Challenges and potential applications
