Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is teaming up with innovative travel experts to launch two revolutionary transport systems. After launching first in the world (for years) flying taxis and driverless cars, now targeting solar-track buses and high-speed autonomous pods. These initiatives are part of a vision that aims to redesign the concept of urban mobility.
The transformation of transport in Dubai
The innovation of the Floc Duo Rail
The first project, the Floc Duo Rail, represents a qualitative leap in the field of public transport in Dubai. Based on a double track system, it allows vehicles to move quickly and efficiently, ensuring smooth and continuous mobility.
This system uses advanced technology that allows you to adapt the size of the means of transport according to the needs of the moment. In other words? It will be able to switch from shorter units during periods of lower attendance to longer units at peak times, thus ensuring an efficient and modular service.
The bus system on solar tracks
The second system, equally futuristic, involves the use of vehicles that operate on a bridge equipped with solar panels. This solution not only ensures the propulsion of the vehicles, but does so by exploiting a renewable and clean energy source.
The contemporary design and reduced costs compared to other similar transport systems make this project particularly interesting, showing a clear commitment to sustainable development and the quality of urban life.
Dubai's commitment to innovation
A step towards sustainability
These projects fit perfectly into Dubai's strategy for a sustainable transport future. The RTA is constantly committed to adopting the most advanced and innovative technologies, enhancing the travel experience within the emirate.
The aim is to create zero-emission mass transport solutions, an ambitious goal that Dubai says it is capable of achieving.
The future perspective
According to the site Zawya, the ultra-light vehicles of these new transport systems will require significantly lower infrastructure costs than a traditional metro, with the same length and capacity. This aspect, combined with the absence of emissions, places the emirate at the forefront in the creation of sustainable and efficient transport solutions.
The vision is clear: a future where technology and sustainability come together to create a renewed urban experience, with a positive impact on both the daily lives of citizens and the environment. In this context, Dubai confirms itself not only as a center of luxury and architectural innovation, but also as a living laboratory for the cities and transport of the future.
