Even in the news of costume and among the notes of color there is a sign that times are changing. The vertical growth of plant-based alternatives to animal meat brings products closer to the mainstream.
And what's more mainstream than a "junk" vending machine? In the UK, they just opened one that serves up plant-based sausages for two pennies.
I remember green sausages
Created by the brand of plant origin Meatless farm, the vegan sausage vending machine will debut in London's South Bank area.
And it will be a really cracking start, because on June 5th (inaugural day and, no come on, National Sausage Roll Day) the machine will distribute vegan sausage sandwiches for free from 11:30 to 19:00.
"Our vegan sausages have a herb filling made with pea protein. They create a meaty, succulent texture and a unique flavor," the company said.
Each sausage roll has a perfectly crunchy and crumbly puff pastry that will make even sausage roll fans jump for joy.

Vegetable farms
Growth is also structuring, of course. And not surprisingly earlier this year, Meatless Farm announced the opening of a factory in Canada. The brand has launched a subsidiary dedicated to plant protein ingredients called Lovingly Made Ingredients. It will provide its global supply of textured plant proteins and "expand into larger external supply operations".
Lovingly Made Ingredients will operate from a new flagship plant-based protein facility in Calgary, where it will be the first of its kind on this scale. An investment of 10 million euros in a production infrastructure and a plant of almost 10.000 square meters. By 2023, it will be able to produce up to 14.500 tons of plant-based protein ingredients.
