The thin transparent cabin equipped with every comfort offers the best view of the Italian Alps and shows the growing trend of "smart pods" with a tourist vocation

If you need a little escape there is a see-through shelter that may be for you. "Immerso" is a prefabricated cabin in wood and glass with a view of the Alps, which tells us a lot about the future of tourism.

The transparent immersed cabin

The Immerso cabin has transparent roofs and walls that allow guests to feel immersed (hence the name) in the beautiful natural setting, isolating themselves from the crazy world for a while.

Designed by Italian architects Fabio Vignolo and Francesca Turnaturi, the Immerso cabin can accommodate up to two people. It is located in the Chisone Valley, in western Piedmont, and has a view that literally takes your breath away from beauty.

The need to preserve the comfort of the urban context while re-appropriating larger and more natural contexts is the inspiring core of the creation of this "intelligent" cabin.

The future of tourism is the minimal nomad, the oxymoron of the hyper-connected hermit.

The experience in intelligent management of spaces typical of parasitic house mixes with that of the Smart Pod, the hyper-technological capsules that in Kyoto in a few square meters offer a mix of withdrawal and connectivity. The tourist approach and the aesthetic solution only enhance this trend, and show us a glimpse into the future of tourism of this type.

A small, free golden cage from which you can come out at will to enjoy nature.

Immersed, the permanent "camping"

The 65 square meters of Immerso are organized in such a way as to give a powerful sensation of space and connection with the environment. The structure is raised above the ground with a platform, to minimize the impact on nature.

Open the two large entrance doors, there is little in this luxury spartanery: a double bed and a coffee table, to be precise. Comfortable but essential spaces, no distractions are needed. In case you are wondering, there is a shared bathroom in the facility that houses the transparent cabin. We are almost 2000 meters, the outdoor night toilet would be an exercise of rare cruelty.

Immersed, the future of tourism: the interior layout

The small cabin has been designed to be easily transportable and assembled in almost any position. The prefabricated design allows you to assemble it in just 2 hours.

The Immerso cabin is available for rent on Airbnb from around € 130 per night.
