A Turkish architecture team wins the competition for a vertical forest in Croatia by designing this futuristic "canoe" for the city of Zagreb

The Turkish architecture team Superspace he is a finalist with his vertical forest project in Croatia at the design competition held for the Novi Zagreb district, in the capital Zagreb. I have already dealt with these magnificent constructions devoted to aesthetics and sustainability, but this is really gorgeous.

The beautiful project connects the Croatian capital's past and future: a continuous dialogue between the structure and the context that marks the territory.

The terraces offer a cool and tree-lined place to watch the city from above

Located in the heart of Zagreb, halfway between the old and the new city, "Ascension" has also been conceived as an urban portal. It will have the main function of an observation tower, with a large degree of visibility.

The vertical forest improves the well-being of all residents.

The elongated shape of this "wooden skyscraper" looks almost like a canoe embedded in the ground. It is compensated by the horizontal development of many woods and tree-lined avenues on enchanting curved terraces.

These platforms, accessible by stairs or lifts, offer views, shelter, quiet, clean air.

The competition for a vertical forest in Croatia saw the best project prevail, in my opinion. An enchanting fusion of nature and cleanliness, the true homage to a brighter future.
