#Tesla has many plans for the future, not only in the automotive sector.

The company recently unveiled its renewable energy projects dedicated to the consumer market. Tesla and Elon Musk officially announced the "Solar Roof“, That is a #sun roof which will allow to produce renewable energy without having to install any solar panel. At the same time, Tesla also presented the Powerwall 2, which is the second generation of batteries for the home. Both can make any house completely independent from an energy point of view.

I solar panels they are not always compatible with the roofs of houses; the solar roof, on the other hand, is made up of tiles that hide small solar panels inside. Each tile is made of highly resistant tempered glass and is aesthetically available in four models. The shingles are also strong and durable: they can withstand even a small accumulation of snow.

Performance and costs have not yet been revealed, but over time everything will certainly be clearer. The market to which Tesla wants to open is however that of ordinary consumers, therefore prices should not be prohibitive.
