Through the help of an innovative submarine, being able to watch what happens above sea level is no longer just a wish.
The marine world becomes "visitable", thanks to the intuition of the production company Triton. The two new submarines – the 660/9 AVA and the 660/7 AVA – were designed with this very purpose, to offer everyone the opportunity to look into the waters.
Their unusual shape and the presence of the large front glass have made these submarines real jewels. Many define them as underwater "home theaters", perfect for organizing couples or small events.
Let's take a closer look at what's new with Triton and what it could mean for the industry, preparing ourselves for one of the most interesting innovations of the moment.
A submarine that becomes a cocktail bar
Thanks to the first rumors, we know that the cockpit of the 660/9 submarine has three times more interior space than the general average.
The “09” model offers eight seats for passengers and one for the pilot, while the “07” offers six seats for passengers and one for the pilot.
The idea is to create small entertainment submarines, which will allow the public to observe the underwater world up close.
There are several possible transformations of the submarine, from an elegant cocktail bar to an underwater chapel for private weddings. Anything that requires no more than a certain amount of space and allows you to drive safely.
The most interesting aspect is the possibility of diving to 660 feet of depth, looking closely at what happens "at the bottom of the sea". All participants have front row seats, watching exactly what the pilot sees.
“Starting from the traditional constraints of a sphere or cylinder, we were able to make detailed refinements to the profile. (…) With an internal width of over 12 feet, the internal space will feel more like a normal room than a submarine and the visual experience will be absolutely extraordinary.”
John Ramsay, designer of Triton 660/9
All the news of the Triton Subwoofers
In addition to the ability to reach a considerable depth, the new Triton submarine is configured so that the pilot is in the center of the machine.
Having full visibility, you will be able to move around safely and help visitors orient themselves. The interior of the subwoofers is illuminated with precision, the space is equipped with air conditioning and surround sound, so as to offer a complete and one-of-a-kind experience.
Entering the submarine is much easier than you think. During the floating phase, the upper part - usually covered by glass - is entirely uncovered. Passengers can therefore proceed to boarding without having to pass through narrow and annoying spaces.
Triton President Patrick Lahey believes Triton submersibles could potentially revolutionize the underwater experience. These are his words: “This model allows us to offer owners and passengers maximum flexibility to change and evolve their diving experience".
At the moment, the submarine AVA 660/9 has been ordered for a private yacht, a Scenic cruise and a resort, obviously for private use.
