We often show those that came out of the imagination of Pier Paolo Lazzarini. Design tests, and also tests for technological solutions: superyachts are much more than something that only some rich people can afford.
And who said it, especially that they should only float on the surface? The Dutch manufacturer U-Boat Worx decided to bring undersea luxury with the Nautilus, a 25 million euro superyacht that can be submerged in the depths of the sea.
An underwater villa
The interior of the Nautilus was designed to offer a never-before-seen underwater experience. The company has partnered with Armae workshop, an important German design house, to create elegant and functional environments.
In all, the superyacht hosts 5 cabins: the main one is equipped with its own bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. Guests can relax and socialize in a spacious lounge that offers a dining area, a well-stocked bar, a large flat-screen TV and a surround sound system. But these are predictable details in something like this. Right?
Deep lunches
The plus of the Nautilus, as you can imagine, is the presence of four large circular windows that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding marine environment. A special mezzanine observation area with comfortable seating allows passengers to admire 360-degree underwater panoramas.
Imagine having lunch in the large internal lounge, surrounded by panoramic windows showing marine life: it's like experiencing an underwater adventure without having to wear wetsuits and tanks, in an atmosphere of pure luxury and comfort.
Superyacht Nautilus, some data
The Nautilus is powered by a diesel-electric engine which allows it to reach a maximum speed of 9 knots (approximately 16km/h) on the surface. When submerged, the maximum cruising speed is reduced to 4 knots (approximately 7,4 km/h). The superyacht can stay underwater for up to four days and reach a maximum depth of around 200 metres.
I'd like to see him fight a giant squid. How do you say? No, it's not social envy.
