A new therapy showing the ability to stop Parkinson's disease will begin clinical trials on humans in just 6 months.

A therapy developed by researchers at the University of Queensland (and co-funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation) is the first in the world to stop the death of brain cells in patients.

Trent Woodruff, associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland, author of the study.

If human trials scheduled for early 2020 repeat the amazing results seen in animals, brain inflammation that causes progressive impairment of function could be treated with a simple daily pill.
