I would like a world where the eyes are not massacred by a screen: a world where artificial light is no longer the only way to clearly see what I have on a monitor. I wouldn't even want the monitor, for that matter, but maybe I wasn't born in the right century. And so I find this Eazeye interesting, a monitor that uses natural light as backlighting, offering more comfortable viewing (and very low energy consumption).
The problem of visual fatigue
According to the Vision Council, the 60% of men and 65% of women suffer from symptoms of visual fatigue. This is a serious problem that requires an innovative solution. Eazeye aims to cover this gap in a more natural and sustainable way (I know, it sounds like a mantra. Or maybe it is).
Our eyes — and the planet — deserve a break, don't you think?

How Eazeye works
Eazeye behaves differently than traditional monitors. Instead of using artificial LED light, it uses natural light as backlight. This allows for more comfortable viewing and reduced energy consumption. Eazeye is versatile and can work with soft lighting, ambient light and even light from a window. Being illuminated directly from the environment, the Eazeye display is similar to viewing a display E-papers.
It goes without saying that one of the most notable advantages of Eazeye is its low power consumption. Using only 4 watts, this monitor is a fraction of the power consumption of typical 24-inch monitors. Good for the planet, good for your wallet.
Visual quality and comfort of natural backlighting
Eazeye offers a color gamut of 16,7 million on a 24-inch display with an above-average refresh rate of 75 Hz. This makes watching content a whole new experience. Someone will say "eh, ok, but what if there is little light around or I have a yellow lamp in the house?": Eazeye also has its own built-in LED backlight. If you must… But it has 3 times less blue light intensity than traditional “low blue light” monitors.
I don't know if it will find many buyers (even if it has already financed its crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo), but Eazeye is an original solution that changes the way you interact with technology a bit. A technological equivalent of happy degrowth, or am I wrong? Moh. Tell me what you think, there are many channels to do it: Futuro Prossimo is on almost all social platforms.
