Shail Patel, a rather visionary architect who explores the potential of AI, has decided to revolutionize the classic yellow school bus, transforming it into a school on wheels. Thanks to artificial intelligence and the use of the Midjourney design tool, Patel has created a hypothetical and futuristic urban scenario in which mobile schools become the norm.
Patel's "The Mutated School Bus" series imagines multi-story inflatable school vehicles that roll along city streets, engaging students in traveling lessons. Combining art, technology and innovation, the vibrant design of these vehicles creates a one-of-a-kind transport and learning experience that is both practical and visually appealing.
Surrealism and functionality
The concept of "The Mutated School Bus" is based on a stacked and inflated bus structure, with both internal and external architectural elements. Apart from the dreamlike aspect, however, I don't see any particular interesting ideas: perhaps in general the concept of "travelling school" could have a future, but certainly not massive, à la "Metropolis" as Patel imagines.

Some of these will also affect our reality, and we will find it physically, tangible (no, I don't believe in a multi-storey inflatable bus that zips through the city full of children, but in other things, yes).
