Buterin, co-founder of the cryptocurrency Ethereum, shared yesterday's forecast on biotechnology and aging through his official Twitter, attracting questions regarding the consequences of such advanced biotechnology on the human race.

This is the tweet from Vitalik Buterin on biotechnology and aging. “I foresee a shift in focus towards biotechnology. The “final boss”: massively extend healthy lifespan and end aging altogether.” The opinion has attracted tons of criticism already from members of the cryptocurrency community.
A user identified on Twitter as Erik Cason labeled the opinion as a means to create problems for posterity, adding that such technology will destroy an important aspect of life. “Don't you think that dramatically extending the lives of some creates some very real problems for posterity? Also, don't you think we're missing out on something very important about the human condition by empowering ourselves to avoid death?” the user asked.
In response, the co-founder of Ethereum said that the human race has managed to advance with time in terms of technology, stating that a technology capable of extend the lifespan of human life it makes no difference. “We have the right to fly 1000 km/h, communicate instantly with people around the world, access untold knowledge at our fingertips, and create social systems that cover hundreds of millions of people. I think we can make sure to say goodbye to having to say goodbye to grandmother,” Vitalik Buterin responded.
