Google has decided to talk to us. After the first voice assistants, such as Siri or Cortana, they now come in one fell swoop Google Assistant e Google Home. And from now on we will control our devices only with our voice.
"The assistant conversation with you, it's a two-way conversation between you and Google, understanding the world around you and helping you do what you need. It makes it easy to buy movie tickets on the go, finds the perfect restaurant for a quick snack with your family before the show starts, and helps you navigate to the cinema. It's a Google just for you." This is what we read in the official press release from Palo Alto's Big Tech.
Will Google Assistant be the future of our mobile phones?
Let's take some examples. We will speak to Home to check the property, Home will talk to the devices to manage it. We will also have a personal assistant programmed to offer text suggestions based on context, also using emojis, stickers and photos if necessary. It will be enough to ask in front of a work of art what it is, and Google will give us the answer. We'll ask what to do in the evening, and here's a list of nearby restaurants and attractions.
So next time you're in a meeting and someone takes out the phone for search for something on Google, remember that it may be talking to Google Assistant and not you. And if you ever find yourself yelling at your assistant for not understanding what you want, you are not alone. Many people are still trying to get used to this new way of interacting with our devices.
