Are you ready to enter the future of boating? Prepare to be amazed by BlackHawk, the first inflatable boat in the world with retractable hydrofoils integrated into the T-Top. An idea so innovative and bold that it seems impossible, yet the prototype is already under construction and promises mind-boggling performance.
A revolutionary concept
BlackHawk is the fruit of the pioneering vision of NRG4You Srl, a company specialized in solutions for sustainable mobility. Despite not being a boat builder, the company has been able to bring a fresh and original approach to the nautical sector by developing a concept that could solve it many of the practical problems associated with the use of foils.
The idea behind BlackHawk is simple: integrate the foils into the T-Top of the boat, making them completely retractable. In this way, when they are not needed, the foils disappear from sight and away they hinder maneuvers in shallow water or in port. But just rotate the two "L" uprights of the T-Top by 180° and the dinghy transforms into a real flying "monster".
Dizzying speed and reduced consumption
Thanks to the foils and a pair of 50 kW POD electric thrusters integrated into them, BlackHawk promises performance exceptional with very low consumption. It is estimated that this almost 9 meter inflatable boat can reach a maximum speed of 45 knots, an unthinkable value for a boat of this size with a traditional engine.
But the surprises don't end there. In addition to the stern foils, BlackHawk is also equipped with a third bow foil retractable, which has the function of stabilizing the attitude in flight. The movement of this foil is inspired by the systems used for windlass, guaranteeing maximum reliability and rapidity of intervention.
An inflatable boat with uncompromising maneuverability
Of course, with the foils retracted the propulsion must be entrusted to an auxiliary system. For this reason the inflatable boat concept also includes two additional electric motors of 10 kW each, housed under the stern platform and adjustable by 90°. When the foils are closed, these thrusters auxiliaries dive just enough to push the dinghy in a displacement position, guaranteeing excellent maneuverability even in shallow waters. Their draft can be precisely adjusted, until sailing practically on the surface of the water.
BlackHawk's entire variable geometry foil system is covered by an international patent. A move that demonstrates the concreteness of the project and NRG4You's desire to present itself as a reference player in the sector of flying nautical vehicles. The concept, in fact, is not limited to just the dinghy, but can also be applied to other types of boats, such as day cruisers. The declared objective is to make foils an accessible and practical technology, at the service of more efficient and sustainable boating.
The future is already reality
With BlackHawk, NRG4You launches an exciting challenge to the entire nautical sector. A challenge that starts far away, from the flying boats of the America's Cup, to arrive at a product concrete and innovative, ready to revolutionize the way we go to sea. All that remains is to wait for the launch of the prototype to touch this inflatable boat from the future first-hand. With its unique mix of performance, efficiency and practicality, BlackHawk has all it takes to make its mark.
