The French company Vallourec wants to bring the energy future underground with Delphy, a hydrogen storage system that is as simple as it is ingenious.
How does it work?
The system is based on a revolutionary concept: the vertical and underground storage of hydrogen. Delphy combines a network of pipes and fittings with advanced technologies in a sort of underground "skyscraper" to guarantee maximum sealing and protection from corrosion.
Its storage capacity, up to 100 tonnes of hydrogen, makes it ideal for various sectors: green hydrogen production, industrial production, heavy mobility and electricity grid operators.
