In the new blog opened on 'Il Fatto Quotidiano', I will explore with Alberto Robiati the trajectories of possible futures between risks and opportunities. In the first article published today (you can find it here) let's talk about how artificial intelligence can redefine journalism, offering an innovative approach to distinguishing between fact and fiction in the vast sea of news.
Honor and pleasure
Opening this small "embassy" of the future on Gomez and Travaglio's newspaper is much more than a pleasure. First of all, it is the possibility of introducing topics and news on future scenarios, topics that are increasingly current but increasingly at risk of being addressed without a complete set of tools. In my own small way, with Futuro Prossimo I try to do it here, and I will have a wider audience available to do it (I hope) in a useful and effective way.
And then, it is the possibility of thinking "in four hemispheres" with Alberto. Alberto Robiati, director of ForwardTO (the network of which Futuro Prossimo is also part) is a key figure in the field of innovation, strategic forecasting and the development of future scenarios, with an impressive professional trajectory that includes leadership, research and training roles . Having his attention was nice, but accomplishing something with him is infinitely better.
News between today and tomorrow
In the blog on the 'Fatto', the format will inevitably be simple. Every 15 days we will address a general theme, with one question (“How will we work? How will we eat? How will we get around? Etc.). We will examine the opportunities of this future, describing a utopian scenario. We will then review the risks, imagining how certain technologies can lead us into a dystopia. Finally, we will try to define the steps who can build a future balanced, maybe not the best ever, but the best possible.
Will you be there? The "first episode", online from today, talks about the future of information. Lost in a sea of news, will we be able to orient ourselves more and better than before thanks to AI, or will we get lost in a tsunami of news? If you are interested in our possible answers, you know where to read them (as well as here, obviously).
Happy reading and have a good future everyone!
