The advancement of digital and communications technologies has revolutionized the way medicine is practiced and enjoyed. In the near future, remote medicine, or telemedicine, will be increasingly widespread throughout the world, offering patients greater accessibility to treatments and opening up new medical professions.
In this context, devices like this called “remote stethoscope”. StethoMe they represent a significant step forward for remote medical diagnostics. Thanks to the use of sensors and Artificial Intelligence, this device allows doctors to examine patients with more precision, even remotely, providing timely diagnoses.
What is this?
StethoMe is a creation of the Polish startup of the same name, designed to perform effective diagnostics without leaving your home.
This smart stethoscope, the company claims, assesses a person's condition more accurately than the average doctor.
How does the smart stethoscope work?
The data acquired from sensors of StethoMe are transmitted to a server via a smartphone, and then evaluated by Artificial Intelligence.
The accuracy of AI medical diagnosis is 80%.
And the remaining 20%? No fear. To fill the "gap" to perfect the diagnosis, however, someone in the flesh takes care of it: information and analyzes of the machine are transmitted to the attending physician.
This allows timely and accurate diagnosis to be made, reducing waiting times and improving the quality of care.
In short (Italian only)
StethoMe represents just one of the many solutions that will almost imperceptibly enter our medical landscape.
With the same ease that makes us consult a thermometer or one SmartWatch to evaluate some parameters, even basic (but important) medical diagnoses such as those with an instrument such as the stethoscope will be possible, offering a considerable advantage to patients and healthcare professionals.
