The architectural firm Sieger Suarez and the real estate company Dezer Development have just previewed the details of an ambitious skyscraper project in Miami. The building, called Bentley Residences, is the British automaker's first residential project.
It will literally be built around a special lift, which allows residents to park their vehicles directly in the house. On each of its 61 floors.
Bentley and the drive-in skyscraper
Will the parking system implemented by this 228-metre-high building be unique or set up as an example? Each house will have a private garage for three cars, accessible from one of the four lifts on the ground floor.
The parking system, christened “Dezervator” after its name of the manufacturing company, it works in a simple way: you enter directly by car and are taken to the desired floor.
The video released by the automaker shows an exclusive preview of this solution that can change the way we think about parking in tall buildings.
A few more details
Bentley Residences not only boasts its system for bringing cars "to the floor", but has other noteworthy features: a particular oval shape, for example. And a diamond glass “skin” that protects the balconies from the wind.
The design of the housing units has been studied down to the smallest details: the large balconies occupy approximately half the size of the apartments. Each apartment comes with a private pool, outdoor shower, kitchen and living area. A bit like having an outdoor space, but without having it.
Bentley Residences will be ready in 2026. Until then, resist keeping your car on the street or in the garage on the ground floor. Or giving up the car altogether, which wouldn't be bad either.
