A Hong Kong start-up has launched an eco-friendly plastic bag nicknamed "Invisible Bag". Very in short: it can easily dissolve in hot water (at a temperature of just above 80 degrees Celsius). Most importantly: its components are non-toxic and do not cause any harm to the environment.
It all started with two "curious subjects": Devana Ng and her French husband Flavien Chaussegros, trail running enthusiasts, are the architects of this invention. Last year, on one of their many excursions, they saw mountains full of plastic waste and decided to do their part for the planet by reducing the amount of waste. For this they founded Distinctive Action, a startup that promotes sustainable and environmentally friendly products. Invisible Bag is composed of polyvinyl alcohol (known as PVA) with the addition of vegetable starch, glycerin and water.

How the "invisible plastic bag" works
After soaking in water for a few minutes, the Invisible Bag will dissolve in hot water, making it a milky white color. Yes, I know: after reading this circumstance (perception is important) I reiterated the question: is it safe? The company reiterates: yes. The bag is environmentally safe, non-toxic, biodegradable and leaves no behind microplastics. OK.
The use of this bag will be highly appreciated by small shops. The possibilities? Lots: second-hand clothing, cafes, restaurants and more. Invisible Bag is quite generous, with a payload of 3-4 kg.
