NFT Inc., an Israeli / American startup focused on future mobility, has announced that it has begun accepting pre-orders for ASKA. It is a foldable, electric, street legal, vertical take-off and landing vehicle (eVTOL) which allows the driver to go on the road or in the sky.
At a time when many startups are working on building their own drive-and-fly vehicles, this sort of flying mini SUV stands out. ASKA (which means "flying bird" in Japanese) has its own teardrop cabin that allows it to carry up to four people.

Some data on ASKA
ASKA doesn't need to go to an air terminal to switch to flight mode - you just need to find enough space to spread the wings.

ASKA's full-scale demonstration flights will begin in 2022. Over the next three years, the startup will work on certification and begin mass production, setting 2026 as the year for the delivery of the first ASKAs.
Before that year arrives, however, a special limited edition of ASKA is already available for pre-order, but the price is quite steep.
ASKA costs around 655.000 euros at the current exchange rate. The price includes the driver's license, fully customized interior and a license plate.
Advanced air mobility
"We have focused significantly on ASKA's safety elements: dual power sources, large wings, large propellers, six battery packs to ensure our vehicle is as safe in the air as it is on the ground," says the co-founder and CEO of NFT, Guy Kaplinsky.
Flying cars accessible to the public, which have always been in the collective imagination, could really end up emerging.

NFT is not exactly the latest addition, it must be said: along with Boeing and others, NFT Inc. is part of NASA's Advanced Air Mobility National Campaign.
