What if I told you that your dirty laundry basket can be transformed into a portable, “wireless” washer dryer? Eeva does just that. This rather eccentric (as well as compact and efficient) machine, just over one meter high and 60 centimeters wide, can be placed anywhere, and washes and dries clothes in just 90 minutes.
Forget pipes and clutter
Eeva does not need to be connected to the water supply: sure, it can be connected to a water supply and a drain, but if there are none nearby, just fill a 10 liter container with water and that's it.
For this reason, the washer-dryer basket can find a place in the bathroom, bedroom or even in a camper or caravan, and without causing problems around. As always, I'll show you the video first.
Reduced consumption and simple management
Eeva consumes only 300 watt hours of energy per complete washing and drying cycle. It manages humidity internally, so no hot, humid steam in the room. With its LCD touchscreen up close, and with the inevitable companion app remotely, you can manage and monitor both the washes and the savings (water, energy and carbon emissions) of this washer dryer.
Given the premises, it is not surprising that Eeva has conquered the audience of the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, achieving 7.000% of the set goal. At the moment, the shipments of this portable washer dryer that looks like Wall-E's girlfriend will start in October, and only in North America.
A washer-dryer that points the way
While waiting for Eeva to make its debut on the European market, we can already imagine how this small washer-dryer can mark a watershed.
I don't know if the appliances of the future will all follow the line of optimizing performance and size, but I have the idea that a certain "agility" will appeal to many. Whether they are inveterate travellers, lovers of tiny house or simply those who wish to have more space in the house and less CO2 outside, Eeva promises to bring a breath of fresh air to the laundry.
