You know the body protectors that inflate to protect people in case of falls or accidents? In the beginning it was the airbag, then the mechanism was applied (or at least they tried to apply it) on other supports and vehicles. Even in a helmet. Well, you haven't seen this yet: the airbag pants designed by the Swedish company Mo'cycle.
The objective is easy to understand: these jeans with built-in airbag are designed to protect motorcyclists' legs in case of accidents and traumas. Unlike a "traditional" airbag, however, these trousers are reusable and "double action". If you don't ride your motorbike one evening, just remove the airbag module and they are ready for your casual look.
Did your bike collide or are you just happy to see me?
When used for protection, airbag trousers show all their "intelligent" features. They are equipped with sensors that detect the impact and activate the inflation system within milliseconds. As always, I'll show you on video first.
Mo'cycle lets you know that the “inflatable” pants are made of a material called Armalith. In summary, it is a single-layer fabric made of a blend of fibers that make it extremely resistant to abrasion but also elastic and similar to denim fabric. Second the Swedish company, the Armalith fabric is able to manage abrasion forces, while the airbag installed inside the trousers manages impact forces.
The launch of the new jeans line is scheduled for the end of February 2023, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed. With these new trousers, Mo'cycle is trying to improve the safety of motorcyclists by offering a product that combines comfort and style with high protection against road accidents.
In summary, if you see a friend who suddenly seems to have Mister Olimpia's legs, ask him where he put the bike.
