I'm not a diehard traveler, but I still have a couple of suitcases that I really care about. If I have a big bag, I take the big one. If I don't have a large luggage, or if I need one "by hand", I have my large backpack. Like me, I assume, there are a lot of people. The configuration in the end is that.
Yet when I saw this VELO I started to think that, regardless of luggage, having more than one suitcase is just a waste of space and money. Because? Simple. Because this telescopic case extends and reduces according to its contents.
VELO, telescopic luggage
A small cabin bag for a short weekend? A great travel case for longer trips? A middle? It doesn't matter, VELO covers all scenarios.
Immediately stop the predictable comments of the "Benprimists", those who (often without knowing how to motivate it) comment on the news on futuristic products and concepts by writing "but it has been there for years!". The idea, that of using a telescopic scheme, dates back hundreds of years, but implementing a “shape-shifting” product is a completely modern stroke of genius.
VELO can accommodate a 40-liter bag. Or it can become a medium-sized check-in suitcase (56 liters). Or even turn into a large 72-liter suitcase. Its width remains the same, but everything expands vertically.
His Highness the Suitcase
VELO changes shape but remains solid thanks to a rigid polycarbonate structure, supported by an aerospace aluminum frame. Lightweight, massive and completely waterproof. It has an obvious ergonomic, predictably telescopic handle that fits all 3 luggage height settings.
Among the other important features, multiple dividers and panels that make the interior space of the suitcase modular and “dynamic”, able to adapt to the size of the luggage. Do we want to find a fault in it? It comes in only one color (my favorite, but that doesn't count). The "experimental" nature of the product can also be seen from these details.
Which they did not prevent, however, from having VELO collect over 500.000 dollars of funds through its campaign through crowdfunding open on Kickstarter.
It would not surprise me if the one developed by VELO soon became a standard for all new trolleys and such products. I really believe this product will go on a long, long journey on this planet.
