Online gaming enthusiasts are well acquainted with the Playtech reality, synonymous with reliability and quality of software for betting, poker bingo and remote casino, like few other competitors such as NetEnt and Microgaming.
All this thanks also to the possession of the certification of Gaming Laboratories International, the prestigious consulting and auditing body in the sector.
From the year of its foundation, due to the intuition and initiative of Teddy Sagi, Playtech, today led by CEO Mor Weizer and chaired by Brian Mattingley, has strongly established itself on the market up to the listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2006 for a good 550 million pounds, thus confirming its rise among the most important software developers the world.
Since then, the software house has started stacking a row of commercial e successful partnership, and the prospects for the future seem to confirm this trend, given that in 2021 the company's registered office was moved from the historic one on the Isle of Man to the United Kingdom, with a strategic approach to the major shareholders and the nerve centers of international finance.
Playtech software is used by the world's leading Asian, European and US legal platforms offering casino games, arcade games, bingo and poker, while since 2010 the developer has also entered the online sports betting sector.
In Italy the consolidation of Playtech in the best online casinos in possession of a regular license to operate, it took place with the legalization of remote poker rooms, in full compliance with the sector regulations which, as is well known, is the responsibility of the current ADM, Customs agency and monopolies, on official assignment of the state authority.
In 2018 a great turning point for the company on the Italian market took place with the complete acquisition of the Snai Tech SpA group, formalizing with a negotiation of over 290 million euros full control of the well-known legal gaming company founded in Milan and listed on the stock exchange.

The move turned out to be a winner for the Playtech group, given that to tow the financial growth of the company in 2021, in addition to revenues in America - higher by 64 percentage points compared to the previous year, it was Snai Tech, with a record increase of 12 percent, and with almost 585 million euros in revenues due precisely to the momentum of online revenue .
In spite of the physical closures due to the pandemic, the fact that Snai Tech SpA could count onPlaytech's cutting-edge technology made a difference, as most remote gaming users flocked to the online channel.
The latter is characterized, on the business side, by operating costs lower than those of revenues, which is why the Milanese company, thanks also to the regular resumption of sports championships, was able to climb to the top of the podium of remote dealers.
Meanwhile, important news for Playtech also arrives from the rest of the world, since the software company has expanded its partnerships to Canada as well, after the recent liberalization of sports betting approved by the Chamber, and has also achieved substantial financial growth following the launch of "Cali Play", or the joint venture with the Mexican operator "Caliente Mexico".
In the meantime, Playtech continues to be courted by investors, for now unsuccessful. Lastly, Aristocrat tried, with an offer of 3,2 billion euros, which was rejected by 75 per cent of company shareholders, as it is still considered to be unsuitable.
Perhaps also in light of the growing performance of the software house in the world.
