Zoomy, conversion to ebike with "bottle" battery

Electric bikes, for friends ebike, are one of the most popular methods of transportation today: ecological and practical. Of course, they can be expensive: for this reason some manufacturers provide conversion kits to transform a classic bicycle into an electric one. An American company has come up with a particularly interesting one, which involves the "bottle compartment".

Conversion kit for all sizes

The electrification kits Zoomy Ebike they are quite versatile: at the base there is a motorized front wheel suitable for all sizes of bicycle tires, from 16 to 29 inches, with powers from 250 to 500 watts. With this “add-on” the new ebike will reach a speed of up to 45km / h, adapting (thanks to an algorithm) the engine power according to the terrain.

An electrifying water bottle

Apart from the various “sizes” of the kits, as mentioned, the common elements of Zoomy show a brilliant knowledge of the structure of a bike. The battery, for example: it has the shape of a bottle that is used to cool off during a journey. Given the size and capacity, it is surprising that it provides the cyclist with a great range, up to 160 kilometers.

Prices so-so

These are interesting solutions, but the prices leave me perplexed. The most accessible one is around 730 euros, and offers a range of 50 kilometers. Are we sure it is competitive? The prices then go up to 1080 euros for maximum autonomy, and I turn up my nose a little.

In summary

Zoomy Ebike Electrification Kits are a great way to convert a traditional bike to an ebike, but the prices can be a bit steep. The battery has an intelligent design, the range is very varied, but perhaps these figures should save a bit more and buy an already electric bike of his own. Clearly with a water bottle.
