gogoro, the Taiwan-based electric scooter manufacturer that relies on a battery swap network to recharge vehicles, is debuting on the Nasdaq with its common stock and warrants.

A very remarkable result, which opens the eyes even to the last skeptics on the potential that a real, structured network of swap battery could have in the development of urban electric mobility.

Beyond the scooters

Gogoro is best known for its high-speed electric scooters, but it seems to be betting on complete infrastructure. Its "interchangeable" 1,7 kWh batteries are already being used to power light electric vehicles such as electric scooters and scooters, and it packs multiple batteries together to provide greater range and power.

Currently, in the domestic market, Gogoro manages a vast network of over 2.000 GoStations for battery swap: places where you simply stop, swap one or two batteries and go on. Time for the operation? A few seconds.

The solution of the Taiwanese company it solves the problem of recharging and also lowers the cost of vehicles, because the battery remains the property of the network operator. Soon, GoStation battery swap stations will overtake regular gas stations across Taiwan.

The swap battery transforms mobility

Gogoro's battery swap can revolutionize urban mobility in the world's most densely populated cities by transforming the way people use and share portable power. It will soon also boast solid-state batteries with faster recharges and larger capacities.

In summary: Gogoro is well positioned: it has a very strong concept in swap battery, it has innovative technology, an expanding international presence and an experienced management team. In other words, it aims to become a standard. More: IT IS BECOMING a standard.

Yamaha and over a dozen other manufacturers have built electric scooters with shorter development times thanks to the Gogoro network which helps manufacturers overcome their own electric vehicle development processes. Making vehicles "compatible" with Gogoro is faster and easier for them too.

A partnership with Hero Motocorp marked his entry into India. Another partnership with Yadea e CJD it marked the one in China. The agreement with Duckfinally, it has also seen its landing in Indonesia.

Will Gogoro be the android of electric transport?
