Many physical problems are directly linked to people's poor hydration status. We are all usually thirsty and drink fluids on a daily basis, but what makes the difference to our health is what we actually consume. Needless to say, water (while not the most thirst-quenching thing) is clearly the healthiest thing we need to drink without the pitfalls of sugary drinks.
For some years the market has seen the birth and growth of small "alternatives" (I would say complementary) to good old still water. On sale there are several water-based products that contain various factors: "nudges" that improve metabolism and energy, or simply moisturize with aromas. We see many around, but what if there was a bottle capable of adding, as happens with Nespresso machines, some "capsules" of infusions?

Combo, the water with something more: the capsules
This is the purpose of the designers' Combo reusable water bottle concept Edward Sims and Andrea Ceccaroni. It can look like a normal bottle when you drink from it, and it can be if that's what you want. However, on top is a simple mechanism that allows you to put capsules with concentrated doses of nutrient additives such as baobab, lucuma, and the still popular açai. When you insert the capsule and decide to drink "boosted" water, a dose is introduced into the water circulation through the Venturi effect (which allows the liquid to flow through a small part of a tube).
How does the capsule system work?

When taking the enhanced drink, the components in the capsules are absorbed through the stream of still water from the bottle, resulting in a nutritional and perhaps even more delicious drink. Not all components are fully mixed with water. The concentrate itself remains inside the capsule so you can infuse it as many times as you want for another "nudge". How long do these capsules last? It is not clearly indicated, but I think it depends on how much you decide to use them from time to time.
For someone like me (and it took me a long time) who drinks a lot of water, both normal and infused, having only one bottle instead of two is quite useful. The design it looks nice and the mechanism of use of the capsules is quite simple: you will have to see it in live action.
We hope that from the concept to the final product not too much water passes ... under the bridge!
