By now we all know the innumerable potentials of technology. We know the advantages of discoveries and the speed of technological systems, but would you have ever imagined robots capable of painting buildings? In Dubai it is the novelty of the moment.
We are talking about MYRO, a robotic system that is able to paint automatically and in just 4 hours an area that would require 4 days of manual work.
The project started on commission from Emaar Properties, one of the world's largest construction companies. The goal of the UAE-based firm is to halve the paint time of the new luxury hotel in downtown Dubai.
A robot to paint

Leveraging the help of these painting robot, the project could be ready much faster than expected.
But let's see how MYRO works and who is behind the design of a similar system.
At the head of the Dubai project is the MYRO International, a Singapore-based company known for distributing robotic products. Before the paint robot, MYRO proposed other automation solutions for the building sectors, and its potential is well known to experts.
At the moment, MYRO robots are used in the residential project of Emar Strong. A first test, phase 1 of control, is foreseen in these days. Productivity is expected to be equal to 90 square meters per hour, ten times faster than manual.
Interesting perspective
“Understanding that productivity is an important aspect in the construction industry, we have developed MYRO in close collaboration with industry leaders to accelerate the process. We are thrilled to be working with Emaar Properties and look forward to helping the construction industry become more automated. "
Srikar Reddy, Chief Product Officer of Mojay Global Holding Limited
MYRO had previously been used to paint a luxury villa complex at Dubai Hills Estate. The results were satisfying enough to move myro to a much larger project.
Not surprisingly, a large company like Emaar Properties has decided to use the services of these robots. MYRO International and Emaar are still discussing the details of the collaboration, which seems to be beneficial for both parties. And for construction workers?
