Is it possible to give up technology? In the coming months, we may have some more information thanks to the brand's experiment “Kahlùa coffee“, which offered its customers a more than interesting challenge.
For a month, all the couples of the participants will have to give up their smartphone, working on their relationship instead. There are up for grabs dollars 25.000, as well as the ability to change the relationship with your partner.
The project is part of the campaign Stir Up Your Routine, which offers a new approach to everyday life. Moving away from screens shouldn't be that difficult, and the couples experiment aims to show us just that.
Let's see together what are the indications given to the participants and how to participate.
Love and Technology: the Caffè Kahlùa experiment
Before proposing the experiment, the company carried out a series of interviews, trying to understand what the main couple problems are in relation to the use of tech.
Apparently, 40% of people surveyed are bothered by the time their partner spends looking at their phone (a nomophobic almost like me, in short), and 51% declared that the other member of the couple was distracted by their device during conversations.
Caffè Kahlùa's project could bring couples to get closer, and to rediscover the pleasure of conversation.
According to the rules, all screens must be turned off from 18.30 to 6.30 in the morning, from January 16 to February 15, 2022.
Couples challenged, half saved
To demonstrate that they have respected the parameters of the challenge, the two participants will be subjected to an examination of the polygraph, so as to understand if they are telling the truth.
“We want to remind everyone how easy it can be to inject a little more playfulness into our everyday lives.”
Son Bajaria, Vice President of Marketing of Kahlúa
If you think you are the perfect couple to participate, you can sign up , promising.
It is worth trying something new, so as to improve the relationship as a couple and grow together.
