In its small way it is epochal news: a Malaysian startup, Wondaleaf, has designed a unisex condom that can be worn both outside and… inside.
Before reacting rashly, know that at least on paper this condom eliminates all the frustrations associated with traditional products. "Once you put it on, you often don't realize it's there," says its inventor, the gynecologist John Tang Ing Chinh. A man can wear it even without having an erection, and a woman can insert it internally. It doesn't slip away, and that makes it safer: essentially? It's an adhesive condom.

Unisex and amazing
Unlike its competitors, the unisex condom is latex-free and made from an ultra-thin, medical-grade polyurethane material commonly used to treat wounds. Its flexible and waterproof qualities make the condom unisex can be worn long before sexual activity and foreplay: intimacy will not be interrupted.
And the measure? Free and adaptable too: the fit is always guaranteed. And the sensitivity? Guaranteed: the thickness of Wondaleaf is just 0,03mm.
Tang hopes condoms will prevent unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases in his country. And elsewhere? To wait for the launch in other countries it will be necessary to obtain the (rigorous) certifications of each. The product, however, assures its creator, is completely safe.
Several rounds of clinical trials have been very successful, and in Malaysia the retail sale is scheduled for next month (the first launch, later postponed, was scheduled for September 26 on the occasion of World Contraception Day).
The price? Quite affordable: we are talking about 14,99 ringgit (3,40 €) for a pack of two.
