Directly from the homonymous Israeli tech startup, City Transformer is an ultra-compact electric vehicle designed specifically for smart cities.
It looks like a mini car like many others, but it is a high quality vehicle, complete with a safe and air-conditioned cabin. And it has an absolute peculiarity: its “flexible” floor allows City Transformer to change its width while driving to avoid traffic and parking problems.
City Transformer, the missing link

This special feature places the City Transformer Vehicle in a "middle ground" between two-wheeled vehicles and normal cars, albeit without presenting their weaknesses. This mini car has great potential for reliable personal mobility in the urban environment. Also because, let's face it honestly, parking shouldn't be a struggle when living in the city.
It is undeniable that 50% of the space in European cities is occupied by cars. Did you know that on average, motorists in New York, Paris and London spend up to 250 hours a year just parking? But can you live like this? Not to mention that petrol cars they contribute 40% of all CO2 emissions and 70% of the emissions of other very dangerous pollutants, such as fine dust.
A vehicle that "slims" at the push of a button
City Transformer offers comfortable and safe driving experiences like those of "bigger" cars, but it gives its best when stationary. Its adjustable body makes it adaptable even to tiny parking lots. With the push of a button, in fact, it goes from a width of 1,4 meters (slightly more than a Twizy) to a width of just one meter. And it can also "transform" into racing.

In terms of performance, City Transformer has the rear axle wheels powered by as many 100% electric motors. It can reach a top speed of 90 kilometers per hour in the "wide" version and 40 kilometers per hour in the "slim" version. It has a range of 180 kilometers and is recharged by 80% in just 30 minutes.
Definitely to keep an eye on.
