Portable batteries are extremely practical. You can use them on the go to make sure your mobile never runs out of charge. What if you have the same option for your electric car? A "four-wheeled" power bank?
Colorado Teardrops Campers announced the launch of Boulder, a small camper that also acts as a power bank for an electric vehicle. “The Boulder has a power bank in the trailer frame that allows you to recharge the electric vehicle's batteries to increase its range,” reads the trailer section of the website.
Towing energy
The boulder also has a number of other characteristics. It has a fully secluded cabin with a large sofa that easily converts to a queen-size bed. All things considered usual in these cases, but the size of the bed in such a small motorhome is impressive.
That's not all: the camper power bank has two bunk beds and ample storage space, so you can bring all your camping and adventure gear. The Boulder's cabin provides plenty of light, thanks to a large “Galaxy-Gazer window”.
The company points out that the galley has room for a pair of Yeti coolers, water, stove, and food storage. Not bad, right?
Boulder, power bank trailer for electric cars
The Boulder trailer will weigh just 885 kilos (1.950 lbs), making it easy to tow behind most electric vehicles.
The price will also be relatively "light": starting from around 40.000 euros. A little more than you would pay for a large car, but without the possibility of sleeping or eating in it.
This special camper which also acts as a "power bank" really seems like an interesting product.
It makes me think about the fact that an entire category of vehicles will grow in popularity as sales of electric vehicles.
