In the event of a natural disaster or emergency situation, there are times when a medical team needs to intervene, even performing on-site surgery if necessary.
Front Rescue is the concept of a portable operating room that can be immediately transported to the scene of a disaster for emergency surgery.
(Also) due to climate change, natural disasters in various places around the world (floods, typhoons, large fires) are gradually increasing. Second UN statistics in 2018 alone (and since then it has gotten worse) there have been about 2822 disasters around the world.

Front Rescue, portable surgery
Front Rescue could be a useful medical tool for rescue teams. This medical instrument concept includes a surgical toolbox, a sterilization system and an inflatable operating platform that can adapt to different surfaces.
When a seriously injured person is found, thanks to Front Rescue a rescue team can perform the necessary surgery immediately.
The Front Rescue concept was awarded with the European Product Design Award 2020 in the category of medical devices.

How it works
The sterilization system can be placed directly over the open wound as soon as the medical team has stopped bleeding. A nano-impermeable membrane is used instead of bandages.
If and when necessary, the "stabilization" of a wound can be followed by a real surgical operation.
Front Rescue provides an inflatable operating platform that wraps around the wound site, sterilized and covers only that, and allows doctors to intervene with a scalpel in their hand.
A very interesting project that of Chieh-An Chung, Chang-Yu Lung e Zi-Shan Zhang.
Front Rescue can launch a series of extremely lean systems, which use sensors paired with smartphones instead of larger and more complex machines, and a whole class of innovative materials.
