Eight Sleep, the world's leading brand of sleep devices and accessories, introduces the next step in this branch. The future of sleep health is marked by the birth of a new generation of "sensitive beds" capable of adapting to the characteristics of those who sleep on them.
The latest product presented by the company, a high-tech bed called Pod Pro, goes exactly in this direction. The smart bed improves the features of its first version (still quite experimental indeed) and now includes double the number of sensors.
Pod Pro: what's the use of a bed with sensors?
The limit is fantasy, to paraphrase a well-known Zen phrase. Eight sleep aims to transform this bed (and others) into real diagnostic and improvement healthcare platforms. In short, devices that keep track of different parameters of our body and help us improve them, while improving both our performance and our longevity.
Pod Pro "smells" the entire environment surrounding the bed. It measures room temperature, humidity and general climate, and adapts accordingly to bring itself to the right temperature to promote more restful sleep. Needless to say, it also takes into account hours of sleep, type of breathing and other variables.
An intelligent bed that makes us observe everything
Smart bed users can literally “see” how sleep affects their health and heart activity, because Pod Pro also monitors heart activity variability. Other functions are, as mentioned, an active network capable of heating or cooling for greater comfort, even changing the temperature in the various areas of the bed (it happens that you are sensitive to the cold and sleep with someone who is always hot).
