An intelligent bed that observes the context and adapts accordingly, helping us to improve health and performance: Pod Pro sets a new standard.

Eight Sleep, the world's first brand of sleep devices and accessories introduces the next step in this branch. The future of sleep health is marked by the birth of a new generation of “sensitive beds” able to adapt to the characteristics of those who sleep on them.

The latest product presented by the company, a high-tech bed called Pod Pro, goes exactly in this direction. The smart bed improves on the features of a first version (still quite an experimental one) and now includes twice as many sensors.

Pod Pro: what's the use of a bed with sensors?

The limit is fantasy, to paraphrase a well-known Zen phrase. Eight Sleep aims to transform this bed (and others) into real diagnostic and improvement healthcare platforms. In short, devices that keep track of different parameters of our body and help us improve them, while improving both our performance and our longevity.

Pod Pro "sniffs" the whole environment that surrounds the bed. It measures the room temperature, humidity and general climate, and adjusts accordingly to bring itself to the right temperature for a more restful sleep. It goes without saying that it also takes into account hours of sleep, type of breathing and other variables.

An intelligent bed that makes us observe everything

Smart bed users can literally “see” how sleep affects their health and heart activity, because Pod Pro also monitors the variability of heart activity. Other functions are, as mentioned, an active network able to heat up or cool down for greater comfort, even by changing the temperature in the various areas of the bed (it happens to be cold and sleep with those who are always hot).

An example of how the objects of our home will help us keep us healthy and fit without too much effort, simply integrating into our everyday habits.
