An ultrasound device called Sonic Soak has been shown to be more efficient than a washing machine in cleaning and removing germs and bacteria.

How the ultrasonic cleaner works
The device sends ultrasound through the water to generate microscopic cavitation bubbles. These cavitation bubbles pass through clothing, or onto objects, then implode and create pressure that immediately eliminates dirt and contaminants.
Sonic Soak is the only device that can clean virtually anything you put in a container with water (still no ultrasonic floor cleaner, who knows in the future).
