Il revolutionary floor the German manufacturer makes multifunctional monitors the surfaces of floors and walls of any size: new aesthetic and communicative avenues are opened.
In 1965 Horst Babinsky founded an interior design company to present a vision of an aluminum modular system (ASB) to the world. It wasn't long before architects and interior designers were lining up to take advantage of his system, and a few years later he developed the eponymous ASB method for building construction. After almost 60 years, a new generation (his son Christof is now at the helm) and other innovations, ASB aims to completely transform floors and walls with the Lumiflex project.
ASB Lumiflex, live the fourth dimension
ASB lumiflex transforms the entire floor into a multifunctional monitor. A huge advertising space, an immersive catalogue, a dynamic scenario. All. Seamlessly, even on the floor.
Changing scenery at home will be like changing the background of a mobile phone. A themed evening, a more intimate setting, or simply that rooster that sings in the morning in the Black Mirror style.
Even the extremely robust and easy-to-maintain glass floor, with LED video surface, is destined to forever change our concept of "tile" in houses of the future.
Today it is suitable for transforming shops, sporting events, fairs or events (even outdoors) into multimedia experiences. Tomorrow it will be in private homes.
The digital lake on the Microsoft Campus in Dublin
In the first, spectacular installation that shows its potential, ASB Lumiflex enriches the entrance of the new Microsoft campus in Dublin. A digital lake covering 80 square meters, complete with a waterfall, welcomes visitors and employees in an atrium that seems straight out of science fiction films.
One day, home guests can watch the game immersed in a room that becomes part of a stadium, dine in an environment with a panoramic view of the city thousands of kilometers away, or immerse themselves in a swimming pool full of backdrops populated by colorful fish.
