David Vaughan works on Florida's third-longest stretch of reef of the world and one of the most important ecosystems that supports marine life.
Together with a team of scientists he works for fight destruction of the world's coral reef (in the last 20 years we have lost 40% of corals due to warming and acidification of ocean water).
Vaughan has developed a technique called “microfragmentation” which allows corals to grow 25 times faster, and restore the habitat of underwater fauna.
