Seven years after having amazed everyone with a perfectly functioning mini-washing machine, the startup Scrubba he made a travel washing machine weighing just 70 grams, which literally fits in the palm of a hand.
La Scrubba Mini, this is its name, was born with the vocation of being a small travel washing machine suitable for cleaning socks and boxers, or a t-shirt.
The philosophy behind this product is to have lighter and less impactful luggage by carrying fewer clothes and washing the ones you have with you from time to time "on the fly".
Operation
For a quick wash while traveling or camping, just place the essential clothes in this polyester and nylon "basket", add water and detergent and then roll up.
Design that traps and circulates air and water captures dirt and cleans clothes: a special valve then releases all the liquids. All that remains is to hang clothes and the washing machine to dry: in less than 3 minutes you're done!
That's half of the time that it would be used by hand, with a quarter of the necessary detergent and for a result identical to that of an electric washing machine. Not bad, right?
For just over 20 euros (about $ 25) on Kickstarter you can get familiar with this interesting approach to sustainability: the first shipments will start in August, just in time for the holidays.
