And yes, I've seen some bicycles. At first glance, however, my comment on seeing Rungu was "what the hell is it": after all, it looked like Mad Max's fat bike. Yet if the message of this off-road bike is "go beyond appearances" I got it in full.
Get in the saddle
"The challenge was to build an all terrain electric vehicle using only bicycle parts," says the president of Rungu, Peter Godlewski.
"We started with a mountain bike frame and added an electric motor. We also added a battery pack to power the motors and a controller to manage the flow of energy. And so we can say that we have won the challenge: here is our Rungu. , an 'all-terrain' that drives just like a bicycle! ".

Will they have succeeded?
The crux of Rungu is that the appearance resembles that of a bike, but the driving is more similar to that of a motorcycle, especially in curves. The front wheels are quite close together, so in different situations they work to look like one, but guaranteeing more stability and crazy braking even on steep descents.
Seems unclear? Here is a video that counts more than a thousand words:
Imagine a future for such an off-road bike or three-wheeled electric bike? New faces on the street, new faces in sports? Who knows.
One thing is certain: Rungu's double front wheel will become one of the standards.
Update (27/9/2022) - A team of readers who have their turn a bike blog pays us a kind tribute to this video on the road test of Rungu. If you like it, I'll make it available here. Enjoy!
