The first was presented to the world #greenhouse hi-tech, equipped with an innovative LED lighting system to study and grow #plants indoors and under stress. Researchers from the ENEA Research Center in Portici, for the Tripode research project, with the aim of being able to cultivate even in environments lacking the fundamental characteristics for growth (in buildings or spacecraft). Every film's dream science fiction: grow plants in space and / or on a new planet (see the movie The Martian).

Using organic electronics (OLED), researchers are studying the effects of these environments on plant growth. The hi-tech greenhouse is able to recreate a microcosm in the laboratory, and to create "precision" lighting with LED light, which is able to provide plants with light with wavelengths selected instead of the entire solar spectrum.
