Google introduced its latest creature to the world, Google Wifi: it is a modular router that can work as a single access point or on a network of multiple connected units.
It is a very simple tool, designed for a home network; the system can automatically optimize network parameters, such as channels, to avoid interference. The different access points can cover an entire house, despite walls and various interferences. This way, Wifi is always available, and you can turn it off when you want to enjoy some free time.
Google Wifi is also capable of automatically disconnect all devices to switch them to another Google Wifi to maximize signal quality. Everything is manageable from a mobile app, through which you can also pause a device. It is not clear, for now, if Google Wifi will arrive outside the US; in the US, it will soon be available for pre-order at a price of $ 129 for a single module or $ 299 for the 3-unit pack.
