The new ones are really impressive floating tunnels of the #Norway. This is a rather ambitious project: to innovate the mobility of the Northern European country. In fact, to ease ferry traffic, the authorities have intention to build a series of underwater tunnels; the purpose is that of allowing cars to move without having to deal with long and uncomfortable embarkation and disembarkation operations.
They are simple tubes with a very large diameter, kept in suspension to approximately 30 meters deep by special floating structures anchored to beams or to the rocky seabed. A real underwater road, complete with a two-lane roadway.
The tunnel was designed especially for i commuters, that they are found every day having to face the same journey to travel from home to work. Norwegian territory is already covered by 1.150 tunnels, but in this case it is something absolutely new, never experienced before.
