The new ones are really impressive floating tunnels of the #Norway. It is a rather ambitious project: to innovate the mobility of the Northern European country. To ease ferry traffic, the authorities intend to build a series of submarine tunnels; the aim is to allow cars to move without having to face long and uncomfortable boarding and disembarking operations.
They are simple tubes with a very large diameter, kept in suspension at a depth of about 30 meters by special floating structures anchored to beams or to the rocky bottom. A real underwater road, complete with a two-lane carriageway.
The tunnel was designed especially for i commuters, who have to face the same commute every day to get from home to work. The Norwegian territory is already covered by 1.150 tunnels, but in this case it is something absolutely new, never experienced before.
