This is not a real teleportation, but almost. Microsoft has announced to the world that it has created Holoportation: the system allows you to transport your virtual image from one part of the world to another and interact with distant people as you would face to face. In short, with a kind of hologram of the type you see in Star Wars.

The system is based on a high definition video camera system and Hololens viewers, which, we remind you, will soon be available on the market. Holoportation also allows you to record holographic projections and review them later. Will we totally change the way we communicate soon? Will Skype retire? According to what is seen in the first videos released by Microsoft, it would seem so.

It also seems that Microsoft is working on a viewer that combines this mode of interaction with augmented reality. We only hope that in the future we will not prefer to invite friends to dinner only in the form of holograms and not in flesh and blood ...
