Studio Lazzarini, an Italian design group, recently presented a “mini yacht” at the annual sector fair in the Principality of Monaco.
The Jet Capsule it is a vessel 7 and a half meters long and 3 and a half meters wide: its small size and the enormous possibility of customization make it suitable for many applications such as taxi, patrol, ambulance.
Lazzarini's "utility yacht" is single or twin-engined and accommodates up to 8 passengers with automatically closing doors, convertible bed, bathroom (with optional small kitchen).
At night, the interior and exterior of the Jet Capsule are designed to create a 'space' effect of lights.
There is no shortage of other adaptations under study, such as a military model, a small 'party boat' complete with DJ set and sound systems, a floating boutique and a small catering service to offer to larger yachts.
What seems most interesting to us for this small boat is the "solar station-house" option: a two-level version of Jet Capsule which houses 3 rooms plus bathroom and kitchen, is powered by solar panels that move a 12 hp electric motor to move your home gently (and not too quickly) even over long distances.
