How stupid allergies are. Stupids. Our immune system becomes hysterical in reacting to external impulses and does so for no reason: an 'excess defense' which in the most serious cases can even lead to death. The so-called 'vaccines' currently on the market are only desensitizing treatments that actually act on the symptoms, nothing that eliminates the underlying cause once and for all.
Today a new molecule could succeed in the mission:its name is DARPin E2-79 and is described as "The Holy Grail of treatments aimed at Immunoglobulin E". Immunoglobulin E is a type of antibody that our body generates in response to certain types of allergens. If the dog's hair bothers us, for example, our body will have a 'special' immunoglobulin present even when we are not next to a dog (this is the reason why the response to an allergic agent is always immediate). Because of these immunoglobulins, our immune system is always on the alert.
The mechanism that today causes even serious reactions is a combination of these immunoglobulins and mast cells, cells that release histamine and other substances that cause the symptoms of an allergic attack.
How does DARPin E2-79 work? The mechanism, in a nutshell, consists in keeping mast cells and immunoglobins at a distance: it is a bond that forms very quickly and in a very solid way, but Stanford researchers tested this molecule because it has the ability to 'run' faster , intervening before the reaction is triggered and effectively 'dismantling' the phases of the allergic attack with great benefit for our organism (it is the end of every anaphylactic shock).
Unfortunately DARPin E2-79 is a rather expensive molecule for pharmaceutical companies to produce. A circumstance that does not give us hope for its short-term use. However, once all the operating mechanisms have been ascertained and an 'identikit' for the life-saving molecule has been traced, everything suggests that research will now focus on types of molecules that are similar but cheaper to produce: the pill that will eliminate all allergies forever is increasingly close.
